Working with English, French, and Spanish, I am certified by OTTIAQ (provincial) and the Translation Bureau (federal).
GET IN TOUCHI am a freelance translator and conference interpreter with over 15 years of experience. My work covers a wide range of topics and industries, from engineering and energy to literature, sports, and film, in Canada and internationally.
My clients depend on me to deliver accurate and nuanced interpretations and translations that meet their needs and expectations. Authenticity and connection are more important than ever, and certain fields still need the human touch. As a communications specialist, I am skilled at navigating and conveying nuance, tone, pauses, cultural context, jokes─ all the intangible aspects of human connection that can only be captured by a human voice.

Working between English and French, I ensure your content is translated accurately and delivered on time. You can count on reliable translations that are faithful to the original documents.
I offer event and conference interpretation services from Spanish, English, and French into English and French. I work across a wide range of settings, including conferences, congresses, educational and corporate events, focus groups, virtual meetings, webinars, board meetings, film festivals, sports events, and bilateral meetings, to name a few. I am skilled in both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation. See below for a more detailed overview of my services.

CONTACT MEIn addition to holding a master’s in translation from Université Laval and a master’s in interpretation from York University (Glendon Campus), I am certified in both professions by the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ), the regulatory body for translators and interpreters in Quebec. Furthermore, I’m accredited as an interpreter by the Translation Bureau of Canada.
I’m also a retired athlete, having represented Canada on the world stage and having played in Spain for several years before retirement. Being a professional rugby player shaped my rigour and discipline, my ability to work in high-octane situations, and to adapt under pressure. A natural leader and communicator on the many teams I played on, I owe much of my self-assurance and confidence in my linguistic careers to my time as an athlete.

A good conference interpreter creates a smooth and seamless listening experience. Switching between languages may look easy. But behind the scenes, interpreters make countless split-second decisions so that listeners can follow along and understand what’s being said.
Interpreters prioritize information we recognize as being important, add information that clarifies cultural context, omit repetitions to avoid confusion, strategically reorder information in a way that is more digestible for the listener, and the list goes on. All this while the speaker is talking up a storm! These decisions cannot possibly be made by a computer.
Rather than simply transmitting information into another language word for word like a machine would do, an interpreter engages with and processes the information, capturing tone and nuance. That’s why conference interpretation services are best entrusted to a trained and professional human being.
